About Claim A Gift
Claim A Gift is a free wish list and gift registry. Make a list, share the guest link and let guests reserve what they plan to buy to help avoid duplicate gifts. It is built by Vidmantas Markevičius at Projektas Nr. 1, MB in Lithuania.
Why we built it
After our son’s birthday, we counted the LEGO sets. We had told the grandparents he loves LEGO, and a local shop happened to have a LEGO sale. Everyone brought great sets, but we ended up with the same ones twice, three times, four times.
The other half of the problem showed up every Christmas and birthday: “So, what would you like?” Name one specific thing and the surprise is gone. A shared list gives people several genuine ideas and shows guests which wishes are still available.
We wanted a simple way to coordinate gifts without making every guest create an account or limiting the ideas to one store.
- One guest link for the whole list.
- No account required for guests; the Creator can also start without an account. Save the private Creator link so you can return to edit.
- Reservations help guests coordinate before buying.
- Group gift contributions record pledges for larger wishes. We do not collect or transfer money; participants arrange payment and purchasing separately.
- Product links from different stores and manually entered gifts. Paste a link, review or correct the preview and press Add; if extraction fails, enter the details yourself.
Keeping the surprise
Guests enter their name when reserving or pledging a contribution. The Creator can see these names after the event day has ended, in the event’s time zone. Names stay hidden in the guest view.
How Claim A Gift makes money
Claim A Gift is free to use. We may earn a commission from purchases made through shopping links. There is no additional affiliate fee charged by us; retailer prices and terms are set by the retailer. Creators still choose which gifts to put on their lists.

Your data
We store lists, gift details, reservations and contribution pledges to run the service. If you choose to sign in, your sign-in provider handles the required account data. Limited technical error reports help us investigate problems.
Your guest link can be opened by anyone who has it; keep the Creator link private.

Vidmantas Markevičius, founder. A marketer and e-commerce specialist with a strong interest in AI. AI tools make it possible for one person to build a product like this. What started as a fix for our own family’s gift chaos turned out to be useful enough to share with others.
